Improvement for the hotel market
In France, hotel investment saw an exceptional 2014, with investment volumes reaching 2.2 billion Euros (+30% compared to 2013). The French hotel market was dominated by foreign investors who primarily targeted the high-end hotels and accounted for 86% of investments.
The motivations to invest are numerous: France remains the leading tourist destination in the world with an occupancy rate of nearly 80% in Parisian hotels alone, the best in Europe after London.
Yield prospects are particularly high elsewhere, ranging between 4% to 10% net per year depending on the venue, excluding taxes and subject to a holding period of at least six years.
